ISO Audit

Recently Exacta passed its second ISO 9001:2015 audit of 2023; we are very proud of this certification and wanted to tell you all about what this means for Exacta.

“Did you know Exacta Technologies are ISO 9001:2015 compliant/certified? What does this mean? How does it benefit you?”

We are very proud of this certification, so we have worked with Exacta’s COO Chris Landen to bring you this article, which explains what this means for Exacta, our team, and our customers.

What is ISO 9001?

ISO 9001 is an internationally recognised standard that provides a framework for organisations to deploy and maintain an effective quality management system, ensuring the delivery of quality products and services to their customers.

· Continually improve, streamline operations, and reduce costs.

· Win more business and compete in tenders.

· Satisfy more customers.

· Be more resilient and build a sustainable business.

· Show you have strong corporate governance.

· Work effectively with stakeholders and your supply chain.

Implementing ISO 9001 brings many benefits to businesses. It enables continual improvement, cost reduction, and can streamline operations. This standard enhances competitiveness, boosting chances in tenders and securing more business. ISO 9001 also reinforces customer satisfaction, fosters resilience, and promotes sustainable business practices. Compliance showcases strong corporate governance and facilitates effective stakeholder and supply chain collaboration, fostering a more efficient working environment. Overall, ISO 9001 serves as a comprehensive tool for operational efficiency, reputation enhancement, and industry relationships.

At the centre of any effective quality management system is Continuous Improvement. We have worked hard to instil Continuous Improvement throughout the entire business. We are constantly evolving, developing new products, services, practices, and resources as well as reviewing existing processes. The goal is to improve efficiency, reduce wastage, and ensure we are delivering excellent service to our customers.

Multiple sources of information feed into the Continuous Improvement process:

– Day to day activities

– Customer feedback

– External audits

– Internal audits

– Management reviews

Analysis of this data then leads to the creation of Development Initiatives and Opportunities for Improvement.

Purpose

Exacta are audited twice a year by the British Standards Institution, this ensures the suitability of our quality management system through independent and expert analysis.

At Exacta Technologies, we are committed to providing unparalleled products and services, constantly striving to enhance the overall experience for our valued customers and their end users. Our adherence to ISO 9001 compliance serves as a testament to our dedication, instilling confidence in our customers by showcasing our ability to consistently deliver excellence.

Summary from COO, Chris Landen.

The person responsible for our ISO certification is Chief Operations Officer Chris Landen, Chris has been at Exacta for over a decade and has a wealth of experience.

“ISO 9001:2015 compliance is more than a tick box exercise or managing external audits. We’ve worked hard to build the requirements of the standard throughout the business, but it doesn’t end there, it’s a never-ending process. We will always be working on improving what we do and how we do it.”

In 2024 we will be working towards more ISO certifications. We believe investing in this will benefit our business and stakeholders in the long term.
