Bristol Together Championships 2025

Last Tuesday, Community of Purpose hosted their 12^th annual Bristol Together Championships at one of our fantastic Bristol UWE campuses – bringing together around 150 primary school children for a fantastic day of football, teamwork, and community spirit.

About the event
The Bristol Together Championships is about celebrating the incredible diversity and inclusion of our city, bringing together schools from across different communities to create new friendships, promote equality, and build understanding through sport.

United through sport
The energy and enthusiasm throughout the day were amazing. It was inspiring to see young people come together – many meeting for the first time – and immediately connecting through teamwork, shared challenges, and a love of the game. The Bristol Together Championships creates an atmosphere where children can build confidence, overcome perceived differences, and develop friendships that extend beyond the pitch.

Our role as volunteers
The day began early, as each Exacta volunteer helped the Community of Purpose team set up the pitches, moving goals, placing cones, and getting everything ready for kick-off. Nine team members took on refereeing and scorekeeping duties, keeping the matches fair and fun.

Proud to support
Every team member from Exacta were left feeling so proud, not only to support Community of Purpose and the brilliant work they do, but also the incredible children who gave their all on the pitch. Every participant threw themselves into the experience, faced challenges head-on, and showed remarkable sportsmanship throughout.

It was a privilege to be part of something so meaningful. Days like this remind us of the power of community and the importance of showing up for one another.
