2001
The start of Exacta Technologies, 2001
Exacta Technologies was founded in 2001 by our CEO Nick Rogers, with a vision to become world-leading hardware tailors. We started at Bristol self-storage, then on to a farm at Swallows Lodge in June 2001. Then in 2006, we moved into The Sawmill at Ubley. The company operated from Ubley for 14 years. We have always focused on creating products that were tailored to exact customer requirements. Exacta Technologies grew not by selling to thousands of customers, but by working in real partnerships with a select group of clients who remained with us for years.
Launching a new brand was new and exciting for Exacta Technologies. It felt like a new beginning, as we entered the world of financial trading.
2015
Launching Blackcore Technologies
Blackcore Technologies was founded in 2015 by CEO Nick Rogers. At the time we were working with one of the worlds’ leading financial companies, who approached us to see if we could build them an overclocked server. We sold the first GENERATION 1 system in December 2015. As new technology emerged, we continually evolved the Blackcore systems to make sure that both our performance and our reliability stayed ahead of the market. We launched GENERATION 2 in 2019, that range has excelled and currently sits in over 28 colocation data centres worldwide. Now we are working on our third generation of Blackcore overclocked servers, a range that will change the industry forever.
Our new production facility is a testament to our hard work and prepares us for our next phase of growth.
2020
Our New HQ
In March 2020 we moved from our old premises in the picturesque Chew Valley and relocated to a brand-new purpose-built 20,000 sq. ft state of the art production facility in Emersons Green Bristol, UK. It was slightly melancholic to leave our old home behind, but the new building has not only massively expanded our capacity and capabilities but also invigorated our ever-growing team. This has allowed Exacta Technologies to grow into a group of world-class brands.
This business grew by delivering bespoke solutions to a handful of great software companies.
2021
Rebranding Platform by Exacta
Platform is where Exacta began over 20 years ago, we began as manufacturers of fully customised branded appliances and white-box servers built for software companies. This has always been the largest part of our company, yet we have never created a website or advertised it. Over the last year, we have met with new clients and decided now is the time to create somewhere purpose-built for our Platform customers. In 2021 we launched a new dedicated Platform by Exacta website; the site showcases our full end to end service and our client’s success stories.
Exacta Technologies grew not by selling to thousands of customers, but by working in real partnerships with a select group of clients who have remained with us for years.
2022
The Exacta Technologies Group
Over the last six years, the Exacta Technologies Group has grown rapidly. We now have two sections of the group, Platform by Exacta & Blackcore Technologies. As we continue to grow, we continue to be proud of our work ethic and appreciative of our dedicated team. We are honoured to have several long-serving members in our company. Interestingly, many of our management team started their careers with us almost 20 years ago, working in manufacturing. Their knowledge of the business as well as their exceptional skills and experiences have shaped the values we have as a company, where everyone is given the opportunity to excel.
Launching in the US, in the financial capital of the world was incredible.
2022
Launching Blackcore's GENERATION 3 Range
Since launching Blackcore Technologies in 2015 we have been in a constant cycle of innovation, to ensure we are extracting the best performance for our clients. On the twenty-third of June, we launched Blackcore's GENERATION 3 range of overclocked servers in New York City's Financial District. From day 1 of engineering GENERATION 3, we knew that this launch had to be big. Launching in New York was a dream, that very quickly became a reality. We are so proud of how far Blackcore has come in the last 7 years, and we are very excited for the future of Blackcore Technologies.
The team is incredibly proud of this achievement. A massive thank you to the golfers who generously helped raise vital funds for Grief Encounter.
2023
First Ever Charity Golf Day
In 2023, we proudly organised a charity golf day to raise funds for Grief Encounter, a charity that works closely with individuals, families, schools, and professionals to provide children with a path through the anxiety, fear, and isolation caused by bereavement. Since then, we’ve raised an incredible £36,400 for them through golf days alone. We continue to support all the amazing work they do to improve the lives of young people and their families.
It’s truly inspiring to witness such an incredible event that brings people together to support such a meaningful cause.
2024
Bristol Together Championships
In 2024, we partnered with Community of Purpose, an inspiring organisation that helps improve the lives of young people in Bristol by tackling challenges like holiday hunger and bringing communities together. Highlights of the year included seeing new friendships form at the Bristol Together Championships and sending one of our team members to Bordeaux as part of the city’s twinning program. We’re excited to keep working together to support young people and make a real difference.

What is next for Exacta Technologies?
The company has grown again in 2023 and we have a lot of exciting projects planned for 2024. We believe 2024 will be a year of excellent growth for the entire company.
