How long have you been at Exacta and tell us about your job role?
I have been at Exacta for almost 15 years, I started in September 2007. I am the Quality Manager at Exacta, this means that I am responsible for ensuring the correct processes are followed to maintain a high level of consistency and quality throughout each and every product line. I observe and monitor systems through the build, configuration, testing, and packing process, ensuring the system: is correct to the client's specification, has excelled in testing, and is packaged safely.
What do you enjoy most about working at Exacta?
I enjoy working with a close-knit team of highly motivated people who excel in their work and are determined to fulfil the high level of quality that we aim to deliver to our clients.
What do you enjoy doing in your free time?
In my free time, I enjoy playing video games, watching movies, and keeping my mind active and engaged by building models (ie Airfix, Lego, Cobi etc). (You can see in the photo just two of the models I have built.)
What advice would you give to younger generations who aspire to work in the STEM industry?
One of the most important things I have learned is that accuracy is paramount, double even triple check your work to ensure silly things don’t slip through un-noticed and once you have demonstrated your competence others will take notice and feel comfortable giving you more responsibility and more important roles will open up to you.
What are 3 characteristics that best describe you as a person?
Adaptable, Logical & Friendly.
