⭐ Introducing Ellie - Meet the Team Series ⭐

This series will introduce you to a member of team Exacta every month, so you can meet the dedicated hardworking team that has made Exacta what it is today. Our twenty-fifth instalment of the series introduces you to Ellie Jones. Ellie began working at Exacta in October 2023. Ellie is a Bookkeeper; this means that she takes care of the company’s financial information by documenting transactions, generating reports, and recording accurate financial data.

How long have you been at Exacta and tell us about your job role?

I started in October 2023 so not long! I am the Bookkeeper, so my role is to record the financial information for the company and ensure that all the data is correctly and accurately entered into our accounting system.

 

What do you enjoy most about working at Exacta?

The people here are fantastic – everyone is so positive and passionate about their jobs and the company. It’s an exciting place to work and be a part of.

 

What do you enjoy doing in your free time?

I have a 4-year-old daughter and a 2-year-old son, so I don’t get a lot of free time!! I love spending time with my family, seeing friends, taking the dog on walks/runs and getting to the gym when I can.

 

What advice would you give to younger generations who aspire to work in the STEM industry/want the same job role as you?

You need to understand why you do something as well as how you do it. Learn as much as you can from the people around you, never be afraid to ask questions and dive into every challenge thrown at you. 

 

What three items would you take with you to a deserted island?

Water, wine, and a bed!

 

If you could teleport anywhere in the world right now, where would you go?

Railay Bay in Thailand – we went for our honeymoon and fell in love with the place. We will definitely be taking the kids one day!

 

 If you could time travel, where is the first place you would go?

I’d be going back to the late 60s or early 70s. The music and fashion were amazing, and I’d be heading straight to a Fleetwood Mac gig or an early Glastonbury Festival.

Kind, fun and resilient.
