This series will introduce you to a member of team Exacta every month, so you can meet the dedicated hardworking team that has made Exacta what it is today. Our sixteenth instalment of the series introduces you to Ellen Sanders. Ellen began working at Exacta in August 2022. Ellen is a Digital Marketing Assistant. Working in the marketing team means that Ellen is responsible for conducting market research, creating reports, and producing content for Exacta’s social media and websites.
How long have you been at Exacta and tell us about your job role?
I have been working at Exacta for about a year now. I graduated from university in 2021 and began working here just over a year later. My main responsibilities involve working with Chloe, the Marketing Manager, to produce content for the Exacta, Platform, Blackcore and Proline social media accounts, create email marketing campaigns, write articles, update the four websites, and conduct market research.
What do you enjoy most about working at Exacta?
I love being creative. The content creation side of my role gives me the chance to create new designs in Photoshop, which I thoroughly enjoy doing. The people here are also very friendly, everyone’s really nice.
What do you enjoy doing in your free time?
In my free time, I enjoy trying new restaurants in Bristol with my boyfriend, as well as attending art and photography exhibitions. I also enjoy baking, hiking, and spending time with my friends and family.
What advice would you give to younger generations who aspire to work in the STEM industry/want the same job role as you?
The tech industry is somewhere I never thought I’d end up. Coming from a more creative background, I never thought I’d have a role in tech! My advice would be to make the most out of opportunities offered to you. Be honest with yourself and take the time to get to know your strengths and weaknesses. Find the areas you excel in and areas to grow. All of these will help define your future career goals.
What three items would you take with you to a deserted island?
I would probably take a lighter, a tent and a helicopter. Have a little holiday, then get out of there!

Understanding, creative and ambitious.
