This series will introduce you to a member of team Exacta every month, so you can meet the dedicated hardworking team that has made Exacta what it is today. Our twentieth instalment of the series introduces you to Charlie Hiatt. Charlie began working at Exacta in 2022 in our admin and logistics team. Charlie supports the sales team and is responsible for processing orders, communicating with customers and ensuring the process runs smoothly for clients.
How long have you been at Exacta and tell us about your job role?
I have been working at Exacta for just over a year. In a typical day I support the Account Managers by processing orders and booking shipments. I’m there at every point of the customer journey, from the start, which is booking in orders to the end when I’m shipping orders out and keeping customers updated.
What do you enjoy most about working at Exacta?
The people! Everyone always says the people, but it’s true, I really enjoy the banter and the laughs we have throughout the day. We are quite a light-hearted bunch, everyone’s very friendly and easy to get along with.
What do you enjoy doing in your free time?
In my free time I really enjoy playing golf and going on long dog walks. I also enjoy baking, but mainly in the winter months, as well as watching movies and binge-watching TV series!
What three items would you take with you to a deserted island?
Can you take your phone? I guess it wouldn’t last long because the battery would die! I’d take my phone for however long it lasts, my dog for company, although she probably wouldn’t last long either! What else… I think I would take a tent.
If you could teleport anywhere in the world right now, where would you go?
I would probably go to Dubai or Thailand. I've had some amazing experiences in a few countries within Asia. I'm crazy about the food and culture there. Going back would be great!

I’m a happy, bubbly, and exuberant person.
