⭐ Introducing Jack - Meet the Team Series ⭐

This series will introduce you to a member of team Exacta every month, so you can meet the dedicated hardworking team that has made Exacta what it is today. Our thirty-third instalment of the series introduces you to Jack. Jack began working at Exacta in 2018, as an Apprentice Build Engineer before working his way up to become a Procurement Specialist. This means that he works to monitor orders, source and maintain relationships with suppliers, and ensure the procurement process is compliant with company policies.

How long have you been at Exacta and tell us about your job role?

I’ve been at Exacta for six and a half years and I’m currently a procurement specialist. I started off as an apprentice build engineer, for a year and then moved over into sales, as an account manager for just under four years. I’ve now been working as a procurement specialist.

 

What do you enjoy most about working at Exacta?

I know it’s probably quite a common answer, but definitely the people. I do also like that every day is different, especially in my role. I’m constantly looking for solutions to different challenges; no day is the same, so I quite like the variation.

 

What do you enjoy doing in your free time?

I go to the gym most days; I try to stay active. I enjoy walking my dog too, then socialising with my friends on the weekend.

 

What advice would you give to younger generations who aspire to work in the STEM industry/want the same job role as you?

I would say, take as much advice onboard as you can from other people. Try and learn as much as you can, be consistent, and just get better every day.

 

What three items would you take with you to a deserted island?

A football, a mirror, and my dog.

 

If you could teleport anywhere in the world right now, where would you go?

Dubai, I just love everything about Dubai, the weather, the culture, and just everything about it.

 

If you could only eat one food for the rest of your life, what would it be?

Definitely pasta. I cannot think of a reason why I like pasta so much.
