This series will introduce you to a member of team Exacta every month, so you can meet the dedicated hardworking team that has made Exacta what it is today. Our third instalment of the series features Hayley Lawton our Blackcore Sales & Support Administrator.
How long have you been at Exacta and tell us about your job role?
I have been working for Exacta for two years, I started as an Office Administrator and have since moved up to specialising in Blackcore Sales Support. My main responsibilities consist of processing orders, tracking them through the system and all things logistics. I am also responsible for dealing with incoming and outgoing RMAs and general enquiries, I do a little bit of everything which I find very interesting.
What do you enjoy most about working at Exacta?
I’d say the most enjoyable part is the people, it’s a very welcoming environment coming into the office and we all like to have a laugh but like to get our jobs done so it’s a nice balance.
What do you enjoy doing in your free time?
I am a bit of a book nerd - I read a lot of books! I think last year I read about 70 of them. I also like to try my hand at different crafts such as sewing, pottery painting, and soap making. I also love musicals and movies and spend a lot of time watching them.
What advice would you give to younger generations who aspire to work in the STEM industry/ want the same job role as you?
I have a literature degree, so the STEM industry was something very new to me. I would advise younger generations to keep an open mind as technology is always changing and understand that your job may change on a day-to-day basis so it’s important to stay flexible.
