Join Us for Another Golf Day with Grief Encounter South West 🏌️‍♂️

In our continued commitment to Grief Encounter, we are thrilled to announce our sponsorship of their charity golf event for the second year running. At last year’s successful golf day, we raised over £21,000 for bereaved children, young people, and their families. Join us as we sponsor Grief Encounter's charity golf day once more, and together, let's make a difference in the lives of those who need it most.

This year's Golf Day is taking place on Thursday 5^th September at the Manor House Golf Club in Castle Combe, Wiltshire.

Grief Encounter works closely with individuals, families, schools, and professionals to provide children with a path through the anxiety, fear, and isolation caused by bereavement. Operating nationwide, they offer vital support through various channels including one-on-one counseling, group workshops, a free national helpline, and music, art, and drama therapy. Their therapy centre, based in Knowle, along with their presence in London, serve as important hubs for children and young people affected by grief. In 2022-2023, they provided ongoing support to 345 families, which included one-to-one therapy, groups, and workshops. Their online grief resources reached over 10,000 individuals, and they conducted 4,123 one-to-one therapy sessions.

We support Grief Encounter because the charity holds a special place in the heart of our CEO and Founder. In 1983 Nick lost his mother when he was just thirteen years old. At that time, resources for grieving children were scarce, which meant Nick was left to deal with his grief alone. Determined to make a difference, Nick is committed to ensuring that children today receive the support and counselling that they need.

Whether you’re a beginner or an experienced golfer, this event provides a fantastic opportunity to connect, enjoy the sport, and support bereaved children. Join us on Thursday 5^th September 2024 at the Manor House Golf Club in Castle Combe, Wiltshire. The day begins with a delicious full breakfast, followed by a shotgun start at noon. Enjoy 4-5 hours of golfing before gathering for a delightful 2-course dinner. We will end the day with an exciting auction and prize ceremony.
